Formed for the welfare of people and bring peace to Europe, Europe union’s one of the basic policy was to play a major role in Europe’s international affairs. It followed a strict policy of 6 months presidency rotation policy so as to enhance co-operation between two offices which are EU president and foreign affair chief. Its delegations has done a great job in making successful treaties with other nations.

Europe and Iran

With the USA offering a extended hand to Iran if they are willing to meet them half way has European leaders wondering what to do with Iran. Iran has long been thought the most dangerous country in the world along with North Korea now that Saddam is out of Iraq. European officials are not as keen as Mr. Obama in embracing Iran. With Iran getting close to completing a nuclear bomb, Europe is trying to take more actions by increasing trade sanctions on Iran. Iran seems not to care as they have simply traded more with China.

Europe fears Asia

While Europe is trying to gain ground as a global economic power house there is one country that has paid little attention to them. China has yet to see value in the European Union and instead continues its most lucrative trades talks with the United States. China has made it very difficult for Europe to do business in their country. Europe as a whole has a €170 billion trade deficit with China. EU leaders are left scratching their heads on what to do to turn the tide and open up more trade.
